at the base of King Mountain at Hollow Glen in Chelsea,
Quebec, the Bike Leather
Co.© workshop
houses a universe of hand-selected leathers in a medley
of textures. This first step ensures that every Bike
Leather creation is designed perfectly from the very
start. Many of the leathers selected for Bike goods
are impregnated with moisturizers to ensure the longevity
of the products. The signature 4 step hand-edging process
features the rounding and bevelling of all edges, dying
and saturation of the leather cross-section, a low-speed
burnishing, and a final protective coat leaving a durable
sheen. |

Inspiration for the designs is through the artistic
integrity and fellowship with local earthworks artists.
The passionate infusion of organic and essential elements
displayed in the leatherwork demonstrates the dedication
to reflecting the natural surroundings of the backwoods
of Old Chelsea. The cuts, patterns, textures and finishes
available are interpretive representations of the local
nature itself. |
